Job Description:
Director of Clinical Support SUPPORTING SOUTHERN DIVISION (SOUTHERN STATES) WITH 75% travel
Under the direction of VP of Nutrition & Wellness, this position develops new and evaluates existing nutrition care systems/programs to promote and support goals and initiatives as defined by MHC. Directs and coordinates the communication and implementation of MHC Nutrition programs and regulatory requirements within region of responsibility. Supports new sales surveys, presentations and openings through coordination of resources with the RVP, RDO and Regional Clinical Nutrition Manager (RCNM). Participates and supports to advance and promote business development and corporate initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities: RCNMs within region of responsibility.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Responsible for Nutrition Resources:
+ Evaluates and develops nutrition programs and menus, Performance Improvement, Policies and Procedures, Diet Manual and others as requested in conjunction with Senior Director of Clinical Support.
+ Provides guidance to clinical practice and performance through research, professional review, and professional publication for MHC. Coordinates development of and review of resources with Senior Director of Clinical Support.
+ Sets up and maintains constant communication with Sr. Director of Clinical Support in order to retain the most updated state and local regulations.
+ Demonstrates thorough knowledge of regulatory agencies by developing/updating nutrition programs that incorporate these standards.
Provides Clinical Support for Division Assigned:
+ Directs and supervises the implementation of clinical nutrition programs and regulatory compliance.
+ Directs, supports, and supervises the Regional Clinical Nutrition Managers in achieving their assigned responsibilities.
+ Monitors and manages the performance and compliance of the RCNMs and Consulting Dietitians.
+ Maintains effective communication with the RCNMs.
+ Evaluates needs, directs and coordinates support for accounts at high risk or requiring innovations.
+ Participates in new business surveys and presentations ? coordinates resources for surveys and presentations not actually attended.
+ Participates in new account openings as needed.
+ Participates with regional team to develop appropriate goals and action plans to meet client expectations.
+ Functions as a liaison from corporate to region team and account level.
+ Must work closely with other corporate and regional team staff to support field and corporate initiatives.
+ Provides guidance to the management team at the account level. Coordinates with team to help resolve any concerns/problems with dining services.
+ Assists in career development of clinical team members.
+ All other duties as assigned.

+ Completes all required documentation and reports in a timely, professional and thorough manner.
+ Develops and analyzes budget data utilizing the established goals and objectives for the department.
+ Communicates effectively with all team members, clients and customers. This includes telephone, written, and electronic communication.
+ Participates and attends company and client meetings, staff development, and professional programs, as appropriate.
+ Reads and complies with all policies and procedures of Morrison and Compass as appropriate.
+ Follows client facility, Morrison and Compass safety policies and procedures to include incident reporting.
+ Projects and practices consistent ownership attributes, which provide a high level of customer service at all points of contact.
+ Performs other tasks that may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
+ Registered Dietitian in accordance with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
+ Certification by Aspen or CDR REQUIRED.
+ Master?s degree in nutrition-related field preferred. Equivalent experience leading a business or nutrition service at a corporate level acceptable.
+ Candidate must be actively engaged and/or hold a board position within the past 5 years at a nation, state or district dietetic or health profession related organization.
+ Minimum 3 years professional experiences in acute or long term care setting with additional 5 years in an operational leadership position and multi-unit experiences.
+ Must be willing to travel on a regular basis ? 50-75% of time.
+ Demonstrates strong technical and scientific knowledge with an awareness of management consideration.
+ Experience with regulatory standard compliance in healthcare and long term care.
+ Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet. Experience with Webtrition is a plus.
+ Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, to all levels of persons
+ Ability to effectively speak and present publically

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
