Remittance / Lockbox Clerk

"Job Description
We are immediately hiring part time and full time Remittance / Lockbox Clerk positions to work out of our bank locations.
Responsibilities include:
Accurately open remittance manually or by using an automated mail opener
Ensure all items (checks, invoices and correspondence) are sorted by deadlines
Ensure batches are accurate and routed correctly in a timely manner
Ensure all reports and images are legible and reassociated correctly to meet the various different mailing requirements per clients' instructions
Copy invoices and checks using a copy machine or by scanning into computer image system
Reports to supervisor any irregularities with assigned clients
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Must be able to follow detailed instructions
Familiar with or ability to quickly learn routine operation of office equipment (photo copier, Opex50/51 mail opener, TMS Image system)
Flexible to work additional hours with little notice
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lift 15 pounds"

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
