RN Charge Labor & Delivery Nights
The L & D Charge Nurse is responsible for the coordination of patient care utilizing the nursing processof assessment, planning, intervention and evaluationThe Charge Nurse is responsible for deciding oninitial patient assignments in the department, adjusting patient assignments as necessary during a shift,upholding and enforcing Tennova Healthcare policies and procedures, communicating information to stafffrom supervisors, as well as, delegating and evaluating the nursing care tenderedThe L & D ChargeNurse is responsible to contribute to the smooth operation of the unit and for development of self andothers by being a role model and providing leadership.Education / License / Certification:
Current registered nurse license in the State of Tennessee or compact state in good standingrequired BLS Certification required ACLS Certification required (must be obtained by the end of the month after 90 days of hire orplacement) NRP required (must be obtained by the end of the month after 6 months of hire or placement) Fetal Monitoring required (must be obtained by the end of the month after 6 months of hire or placement) Experience / Skills:
Two years minimum hospital nursing experience required Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred (relief Charge RN experience on the TennovaMed/Surg unit included) Analytical skills necessary to care for patients, to implement effective nursing care, ability toproblem solve. Interpersonal communications skills Attention to detail and concentration Ability to work in a fast-paced ever-changing environment Recommended Skills Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Analytical Attention To Detail Basic Life Support Certified Nurse Practitioner Communication Apply to this job.
