The Administrative Assistant manages all secretarial duties in the assigned areas and upholds the policies and procedures as set forth by Gateway Medical Center. Performs a variety of administrative functions to include scheduling appointments, gives information to callers, and takes dictation. Composes memos, transcribes notes, and researches and creates presentations. Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a member of the C-suite.
EDUCATION / LICENSE / CERTIFICATION:
High school graduate or GED equivalent
Technical/college courses related to secretarial, computer skills; computer skills in Word, Excel, Access
Paralegal degree and/or equivalent experience (preferred)
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
Two years previous experience as an administrative assistant
Ability to organize and successfully handle multiple tasks at once and meet strict dead lines
Knowledgeable of business machines and office management
Strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Attention to detail and concentration
Ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environmentAdministrative Support
